that's an outrage tbh.

another question whilst we're not on the subject.

you don't install hacks because they're a security risk... so why have you got 2 technical managers who shoudl be able to deal with it.

it's getting to be boring now imo.

an arcade would bring the visitors up - the least you could do is try it and watch the hits rise, and rise and then decide on it.

the same with any other hacks.

if you can install a shoutcast hack then surely you can install any others - it's exactly the same only it will bring in more visitors because many of the people already on the forum want an arcade and shoutbox.

it will bring people from a non-habbo background and will be appealing to a wider variety of people so you can attract a bigger audience.

Technical managers are for glitches with the system that's already in place. If we have so many glitches already imagine how easy to exploit hacks would be :p They can't foresee every circumstance.

Also we'd get more visitors, then possibly get hacked. Also with an arcade, with the sheer amount of visitors it would lag the forum so much. All hacks are able to be exploited, atleast most are.

thread and bread rhyme.

but, if you have such a great technical force that seem to do nothing - although most of it is backscene there's no real reason why you cannot install hacks.

i mean, one of the largest teen communities on the net [teenhelp.org] have an arcade installed - and the owners arn't that technical themselves.

really, you should really think about considering it.

I know I was thinking that :p However it was still irrelevant. Also our technical staff is there for glitches, and basically everything they do is behind the scenes. Its a security flaw, you could ask Just-One about the specifics on that. Also, TeenHelp may have larger servers and in terms of security maybe not as many erebels revolting against it :p

We have been hacked many times if you were here months back. We used to get hacked all the time. Then we stopped with the hacks and we didn't get hacked. At one point Habbox almost went down entirely and Just-One managed to fix it. Also we have a huge server, it costs a hundred plus pounds a month I do believe, and that's just for HabboxForum.

£100 for a server?

You're getting ripped in reality.

You could get a better server, better quality, better uptime for around £60 a month.

You take the forum too seriously in my opinion, look at ClubHabbo forum and ThinkHabboForum [heaven forbid] - they wouldn't spend £100 on a server, they probably spend a tenner a year or something.

I was here when it was getting hacked - that's probably due to leaked passwords in all honesty.

make a backup.

if anything goes wrong.

In response to both of those, firstly, it has happened before. Secondly, the forum will be down for a while if its hacked. First the person with the backup has to come on, and usually its sierk. Then uploading the backup takes quite a while as its a large file. Also all posts and reps and PMs made after the backup are lost. Additionally, I think they'd have to let it backup and then do something else off the computer as doing too much with it going would freeze it. Its not practical to let ourselves get hacked ;)

After the effort of putting it in, to get hacked and then take the forum down for 24+ hours and install a backup and remove the arcade isn't worth it.

It's not grammatically incorrect to say Security Manager or Forum Manager.

Well aren't you the expert one once more ;) Because I'm absolutely sure that you know the job descriptions of a Security Manager. And the qualifications needed for Security Manager. And the trust and access involved with the job. Well let me gie you some examples. As I'm sure you know "JAMES" has quite a bit of experience, btw congratulations as you seem very happy about knowing his name, thus I am assuming you know his background. I'll also point out that I am pretty sure James works with Security in real life, so we may not be finding too many people who follow that job path in real life, want to work at Habbox, and are trustworthy enough. Giving them access to backups means making them root admin and basically giving them complete access to the site. This won't be handed out to anyone, as far as I know the only roots are sierk, Just-One, and maybe 8Freak8 / Seacat. Only ones I'm sure about are sierk and Just-One.

So please, stop acting the expert on issues you don't know fully about :)

nvrspk why are you so "angry" at me :|?

Because you're acting the expert and time after time you're proved wrong. Stop acting all arrogant and telling us how to do what we've been doing for a long time now or atleast do it constructively with some background knowledge of what you're gonna reccomend please.

nah i cant fit out the door :( we are bringing in a builder to build a double door so my fat american behind can get out:(

this was a blaint joke..

Ooh well played, because who was that really aimed at? As you're Australian not American. As its not really funny, just rather random, and if you find me fat then I'd go far enough to say that I weigh a good deal less than you do seeing as I'm underweight :)

However if it was your ego that was caught in the door I might agree.

i honestly never put it towards you i based it on America because... maybe you didn't see the American version of The Biggest Loser but there starting weight was over 14'000 pounds... fat dont you think?

Well they find the fattest people in the country and there is no way the starting weight was over 14,000 pounds. That's about 7 cars' weight :l The heaviest man in the world is UNDER 1,400 pounds, around 1,300 and he's from England ;) (If that's where Bainbridge is)

deadly serious..
Overall, the 50 contestants started the season at 14,384 pounds and lost 4,281 pounds collectively; that’s more than two tons. Here’s the weight loss by contestant who weighed in during the finale, ranked by percentage of weight loss: go here (http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/the_biggest_loser_3/2006_Dec_14_erik_wins)for more stuff

Just to point out... The 14,000+ pounds were between 50 people so about 280 pounds each which isn't all that much.
