View Full Version : Rule A22.
A22. Don't ask for any personal information - It is not allowed to ask for age, birthday, msn, email, phonenumber, location or any other personal information on the forum, this is for your own safety. It is allowed though to ask in which (part of a) country somebody lives.
We're not able to ask for personal information - when in the outside life and relationships forums and we're trying to sort someone's problem out, we have to know the age, or around age to see what to do.
Stupid rule, if they didn't want to give it away then they don't have to - simple as.
I agree that the part that says about age is a little harsh, perhaps now however, the rule will be looked over :).
I think the part of that rule; emails and the like, should stay however.

Hm I s'pose, no-ones forced to give information. However I think it's for the younger members who are vulnerable

However vulnerable, they should still have common sense.
Is giving your age away going to get you raped? No.

lol when you enter your d.o.b in your profile and pick the option to show age / age and d.o.b it makes part of that rule pointless.

Yeah with that part of the rule there was alot of contradiction when there is an age section in your profile, it doesn't matter whether you ask for the age or not.

It's like saying you come from Middlesborough
but not saying I come from 13 Bloggs Drive etc
I'm assuming anyway.

It says you can ask for location in the rule but not exact location (ie street number / house number etc :).

That's what this whole thread it about... And MAD said that it's now removed.
