well according to my dad peta and people make videos like that to put people off meat, i don't think a place would really operate like that, it'd get closed down.

or maybe its just your so unaware of the reality. People in this type of industry do anything to save money for them, keeping animals in small cages, reduces the amount of movement and therefore reduces the amount of energy they burn, so they get fatter quiker. As for slaughter houses, the name says it all, workers do anything to kill the animals quicker, so that theres more profit for them, even if it meens causing a terrible deth for the animal. If you cant see this, and dont think that video truely sums up the life and death of animals, then you are SO unaware to the reality. You need to open your eyes mate.

I know this sounds really snooty but Ina sda price reducers etc allt eh cheap stuff and fast food to a certain extent its is going to happen....Your not going to get premium meat at 35p are you? BUY ORGANIC you have to be monitered for two years and even the food that feeds the animals is organic if you love animals and meat eat organic

Most of thoses videos are made under Petas supervision and arn't really ''undercover''
The only real videos are the ones about KFC.
Most meat farms kill their animals in the most humane ways possible, by gas or by stunning them first.
People are going to eat meat if that happens anyway, though I chose not to, being Vegan.

90% of Framers don't operate this way.
I live on a dairy and beef farm, and our animals are raised from calves.
Yes, they are taken from their mothers after only a weak, but, if we don't, when they are mature, they would still be suckling off other cows teats.

Most farmers in the TFA use the OTMS (Over Thirty Months Scheme) which means, when an animal is just OTM, they are ready for slaughter.
They are taken to the abotoir in alorry, with pleanbty of room, hay and water.
They are kept in a barn outside for around an hour so they can calm down.
The barn is no-where near where all of the work goes on, so they are in no-way distressed.
They are then walked to a soundproofed room, where they are stunned. They are then pulled up on chains and hung from the ceiling, when their throats are slit. They cannot feel a thing.

Organic meat has no benefit. They can be treated just like those in the video, as long as they are within feeding and soil regulations.

Foor good quality meat, that you know has lived a very happy, fruitfull life, buy British Meat with the Little Red Tractor Logo.
Mabey it is a little bit more than the meat from Irland that is pumped full of steriods, but would you rather have a nice peice of meat that has been well trated, and had a happy life, or have a terrible, grey peice of meat that has been beaten and tormented it's whole life?

"/ - plus i cant really support the slaugter of animals for petas own profit, id rather they didnt liberate the animals, get donations, then kill them, since that way, i dont get no meal, and no one else gets no benifit. They're gonna be killed at one point or another. If killing them quickly is a terrible death for them, then in what way should they be killed in order for them to die happily? My point is, in the end they're still gonna be killed, treated nicely or not, and they will still be ended up eaten.

I'm against animal cruelty and all, but eating meat is something natural, it's called the food chain.

To all vegetarians, grow up. This is the way the world works.are very steriotypical. I dont eat meat because i prefer not to, just dont like looking at it really. Most people are surprised when they find i dont eat meat, because i dont make a fuss of it. I dont like tofu, and i dont need to grow up. Cola, if you think all vegetarians need to grow up, then you need to grow up. You need to see beyond your own beliefs, most places and people just accept that some people dont want meat.

I do realise that some vegetarians do make a fuss of things, but dont say all do.

I eat meat.
Used to be a vegetarian.
But I realised it's pathetic, as if you stop eating meat it's still oging to be made. Also to stop killing animals would be ruining nature, as however the world made us, made us to eat meat. I mean animals kill other animals in a much more violent way & no one complains, just when it's humans. It's natures way.

Abortion is right, they taser an animal with a high which usually kills them, then slice it's throat just in case it survived. It's the least cruel way of doing it when you think about it.
