Why do people disconect :@!

When im playing mario kart on ds on wi-fi people all ways disconect when im winning It's annoying do i still win?

Nope, it doesn't count as a win or loss I think.
Nintendo Official Magazine (NOM) were going to do a named and shamed thingy of all the people that quit when they were losing, but then another company took over the magazine, so it never happened.

I have the same problem on Pro Evo on PS2. However if someone disconnects you automatically win**
