As you all know, the pope is dieing. And even if you do not beilive or follow his religion, he is still human, and some of the things i have seen on other forums make me disgusted about our society today.

I was on a rangers forum (I do not support rangers) and looked at a thread, people were saying things like 'i hope the pope suffers and dies in pain', this person is inhuman, nobody should wish death upon people, or worse, dance a dance when an old man with a horrible disease is dieing right this minute. I quote
I think all catholics should suffer and die. This made me literally sick, knowing somebody could actually say those words, it is people like this that cause war. I also quote
catholics are molesters'
I'm sorry, but just because some people have molested children doesn't mean all catholics do, i'm sure some teachers have molested children, does this mean that all teachers are child molesters? Didn't think so.

I'm sorry to say this, but the society today is terrible, even if you don't agree with the pope sometimes does not mean he is a bad person and deserves to die, nobody deserves to die, and people making up stories and wishing death upon him makes me really sick. I think we should all show some dignity, he was such an influence towards us catholics, and he was a good man.

People think all celtic fans ( i am ) are catholic ( i am not ) and start going on about all this religious stuff. Though I ahve to say , celtic fans, do probably do it back. Its quite sad , how they say these things. Shows you how big the rivalry is between the old firm.

I'm not saying they aren't intitled to an opinion, everyone is. I disagree with their opinion, but it's not as if it's going to change it, unless they realise that their opinion isn't right for them.. and see someone else's is . .

I agree, although, he wants to be revived, and it's his life and nobody has the right to take someones life, like that guy in america who pulled his own wifes plug just because she had a will to him for all her riches (she had something like £50,000, and valuable paintings and ornaments!)

How dare they! I have only known two catholic preasts molester foster children and they are still in prison. It was a while ago. (10-13)
years. I dont take stupid replys without a reason to personally since they could be those kids who post tupid replys for a joke.

Athogh on the other side, you do not know the exsprinces of the posters, and they may blame the chaflic churh and the pope for somthing that may have happened to them.

The pope was a big person to catholics, thats why his death is important, as it is important to alot of people, if someone dies somewhere else, we don't know he/she has died, so we cant really mourn, but the whole holly and jessica thing was also a big thing, and even although people didnt know them, doesn't mean they can't show some respect!

i dont respect his death anymore than anyone elses. All people die, more than 3 every second. I personly dont belive in morning, im just agree its pretty sick to wish death on someone who hanst done anything to them. Athogh i then went on to inclued, that the writeers personal exspeince with otehr members of the church may have been cause for the hatrid, and as the pope is the head of this the balem could have been shifted to him, explaing the rections, posted

I care about his death, not about him being catholic, because he is a friendly, kind leader who has died a horrible death and, what made me more upset was when he was doing his speech he started crying or getting really upset because he couldn't talk!

Exactly, afterall, if someone close to you was a different religion, you wouldn't exactly start calling them names saying they were child molesters, and that you were glad they died, afterall they are humans!

I truthfully think the fight between the old firm is getting very out of hand. My Dad is a Celtic supporter and I am sorta but I don't follow any religion? My tech teacher is the worst of it cause he is a rangers fan and he keeps taking it out on the celtic supports in my class!! Saying "Blue is more formal like how the Rangers manager wears blazers whereas green is more casual as Celtic's manager wears track suits" Who cares!!! It's only a game!!! Nearly all of the Celtic team aren't Catholics!!! Henrik Larrson was a prime example. This is also a main cause of bullying in Scotland particulary. :(
