Okay, looking at my Foo Fighters thread a while ago, I thought it would be good to make a thread about upcoming albums to inform everyone and what not. Indicate whether the album is confirmed, rumored, or assumed (meaning the band is either hinting at an album, or they are recording songs, but nothing is official)
Here's my list:

Yes, very poor year in music. When I did my end of year best of list, I had trouble of thinking of good songs and albums. With the exception of a few, this year was pretty bad.

I have a theory that every other year is a good year in music. 2005, 2003, 2001, good years in music. In between, not really. So sticking with that theory, next year will be good, and by the looks of the releases, GREAT.

I guess Im hyping it up a bit too much, but whatever.

Oh, and I forgot:

Haha, they're coldplay. They dont need the money. Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood To The Head were amazing, X&Y I was dissappointed with because it seems like they just wanted to please the fans and go with what worked.

Funeral for a Friend and Fightstar are recording, which I'm actually looking forward to.
Fightstar are a great band, everyone knocks them because of Charlie, but I'm starting to get bored of just listening to their first album. I want more. But it'll be another make or break album.

How many times has the album been delayed? Hell, how long has it actually been in progress? 10 years? Oh, and with only a fourth of the actuall band. I hate Axl Rose, Im not going to lie. The rest of the used-to-be band was alright, but I can't stand him. He's an egotistical maniac, always going on with his antics like biting people (http://pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/2006/6/27/Axl_Rose_Arrested_for_Biting#37147) to keep himself in the spotlight. It isnt a weird grudge, I barely ever HATE a band, he just takes everything way too far. Why doesnt he just call it a solo career since the rest of the band obviously were obviously set up by the record company.

You can listen to what you want, but I cant imagine it being any good whatsoever..

I didn't know JEW were writing/recording. That'll be another one I have to get.
I'm disapointed by FOBs new single, so I doubt I'll rush out to buy that. Under the Cork tree was a great album when I first heard it but it was over played. Sophomore Slump is still one of my favourite songs.
I might consider the Ash and Paramore albums, I'll see what the singles are like.

Ooooo, QOTSA? They're last album was the best allbum of 05 in my opinion. Hope this next one is good. Jimmy Eat World's last album was...err, not very good. I hope this one is better.
