I know it's old, but when it was actually on the news etc, I didn't really get much about it, I just sorta knew that one day some kids went in school and killed people, but i actually just read about it, and it's discusting. If you actually read about the actually Massacre that took place, it's just grostesque on how someone could do such horrible things to other people because of what they dressed like. They even shot a girl in the head because she was holding a bible, along with targetting people because they were popular, I know I hate the popular people in my school, but I wouldn't even wish that to happen to my worst enemy. What are your views on this?

He got took to court for it, because his lyrics were influential to it. But they werent, twas stupid.
It was a good read on Wiki, and it got me thinking whether you are born with the desire to kill or it is nurture that brings you up that way? In there case I think it was nurture.
And Redstratocas - previously when they were saying "They murdered them just because they were popular". They was a reference to the people they wre murdering, not to Eric Hall and Dylan Klebold.

Uh... Too many they's. I dont know which they you are talking about. There are 2 theys in that sentence:
They murdered them just because they were popular
Sooooo....
All I was saying is that they didnt say "Those kids are popular, let's murder them", they were bullied by people who happened to be popular.

Im a really big Manson fan, and here I admit, the song 'The Nobodies' is about the High School Massacre. If you listen to the lyrics closely you'll notice what it means.
"Were the nobodies, want to be somebodies"
"When they're dead, they'll know just who we are"

My school was involved in a presentation by the father of the first girl killed by the 2 boys. How she had predicted she would die young, how her drawings and writings had affected many people who never knew anything about her.
He told very interesting stories, one involving a man who saw his daughters eyes, crying and the tears growing into a rose. About a week later he finally got his daughters packback from the sherif's office and when he looked in it he saw a drawing of two eyes, crying 13 tears (The number of people killed in the massacre) that grew into a rose.
It was a very inspirational talk and many were in tears.
Btw it was apparently influenced by Hitler (It happened his birthday) and there was something in there about Mariyln Manson too.

Not sure about the Hitler thing, but Marilyn Manson didn't influence it in anyway, just wrote a song about it AFTER it had happened.

Thats what I was getting at.....I think....hmmm.....
There are many reasons for how it was influenced etc etc. I guess no one will really know.

I think in the presentation it talked about them praising/worshipping hitler and it did happen on his birthday.

That's pretty much describing a flaw in society, where if someone wants to be recognized, they have to be immortalized by the media, but to get there, extreme measures must be taken. The song itself is about the Grimm's brothers story Hansel and Gretel (if you've seen the music video.) It basically shows how these fairy tales are actually very dark and morbid (when looked at objectively) even though they're masquaraded as children's stories. Most of these stories involve crimes that in the real world would guarantee life in prison or another punishment of that extremity, and how America teaches their children these stories but go into shock when the kids grow up and act out the crimes in the real world, blaming everything else but the upbringing the children received.
Also, the 'T' Marilyn Manson wears during the Holywood era (and on your signature) represents the Tau cross, symbolic of his innoncence and the unjust and inaccurate blames laid on him. The whole album was a retaliation against the media.

:), eventually someone on this forum actually knows about Manson, most people just think he's some grotesque singer famous for his music. Although it's not just his music that is amazing. I for one like him for How his song actually mean something unlike most bands today. Also if you have ever heard or read his speeches, they are actually amazing. Also his artwork is amazing too. I know im using the word amazing too much, but he just is. :).
Also Im pretty sure the Nobodies was about the High school Massarce, as on his DVD it explains what most of the songs / videos are about and it says that the massarce did influence some of the lyrics, also about what you wrote above. Therefore resulting in him going to court, which I think was pathetic.
