'12 line rule'

this really ***** me off when i try making a signature, because it usually says 'you are only allowed 12 lines..ect' when i've only used like 8

doesn't anyone else find this irritating?

and the 1000 character limit including bb markup text code or w.e

The thing is, more than 12 lines is way too much. Here's the length of 25 lines, from here....

























to here. Now that doesn't seem so large, but say someone had a 300 pixel height image. That's like what, about this large.

So like 15 lines in itself.

Put that together and you already have a lot of space taken up. Additionally, if people use quotes 3 lines becomes larger than that.

For people who say don't allow BB Code to be counted, we do have the limit for BBs higher. There is a limit for characters then a limit for characters with BB Code, that's not likely to be hit unless you have like alternating colors for every single letter or something.

So yeah :p

The first thing you said isn't possible :p

Erm and there's ways to cut down on the BB code though I can see your point, maybe get rid of the BB code thing, or just raise it alot, but remember the BB code does also take up space as the forum has to log that formatting, so we can't just make it nonexistant. However raising the limit with code might be a fair option.

Err people do especially as some will abuse it. And 3 more lines won't do much.

So increasing the limit wouldnt matter if you get abuse... Happens anyway with Infractions ect.

I think increasing the limit for VIPS only so its 25, would be so much better in many ways..

- Another reason to buy VIP
- VIP's wouldnt "abuse" this rule as much.

No I don't think that's possible. I don't really think its even possible for the forum to think in terms of millimeters in any circumstances.

25 was a example, maybe just 5 extra lines even 3, it all counts!. Its not often you get members who want VIP's to get more then normal users, make the most so shhh.! :]] If the rebel's purchase VIP and get banned then its their own fault :rolleyes:. As stated in the terms for VIP.

dunno if it's already been mentioned, but if you just made the line/bb code higher, and issued that the rule was; "x amount of lines in signature" but so that we can use more bb codes?
