View Full Version : De-mod...
I think hyou shoukd DE-MOD ReviewDude. he just closes like every thread he can find O.O
Like, look under the UK news section.. It's hard to find an open post. And it's just the same reason every time. *+*annoid*+*
Thread Closed by -legoman- (Super Moderator): Due to it getting out of hand, If you have a problem with any of the moderation team please report it via pm not posting about it publicly so an arguement starts, Thanks :]
Problems with Moderators should be taken up with ---MAD---. I understand that certain Moderators when they first get the position can be slightly over-zealous, but rather than creating threads that might upset the person in question - Private Message the Forum Manager perhaps with links as proof of the fact that ReviewDude is making a few mistakes and they can be addressed.
Remember that everyone makes mistakes, that includes Moderators :).

I dont see a problem with the way he mods, if you dont want your threads to be closed then make sure there is no ******** in it and it hasnt been posted before
and its not just Reviewdude closing the threads, and most of them are stupid threads

You were a Moderator before, I am sure you made mistakes too; especially when you first gained the position.

I was a super moderator yes. I only ever made about 3 mistakes as a Moderator - which was instead of editing a post when closing it, I made a post (like most Admins).
This guy is making like 10000 mistakes.
If he follows the Moderator Guide then there shouldnt be any problems as its well written.

Different people find different things more difficult than other things. What I am saying is that you need to give him a chance, he hasn't been a Moderator that long.

A few mistakes are fine ... but he is making LOADS.

Then you know what to do, report him to ---MAD--- who will be able to deal with it appropriately.

theres no point making threads like these... obviously mods and other staff are just gonna back their teams up.. it wouldnt matter if over half the forum had an idea, a mod would come along and say no

Hey guys,
Obviously I can't comment on individual cases, but when you say '1000s of mistakes' I think you'll need to look at all those locked threads. The rules state that news can only be posted once - so if it's posted again, what do you want me to do? Leave both open? Same goes for old news.
If you think I'm doing a poor job you know what you're supposed to do - and it isn't to make a thread here. If you find a specific mistake - PM ---MAD--- (he's my boss) and he'll sort me out.
If you go to UK News and Rumours - you'll find a big 'Search' button, and I suggest before you post, you use it.
I'm doing a job :)

I've looked at most threads and they're all closed for a fair reason. If you want him to stop closing threads, you should all better stop making pointless threads and posting old news.

Reviewdude is a new Moderator and every trialist is acceptable to the occasional mistake. He is a polite member and tries his best at every opportunity. It would help him if you got off his back. Also your spelling of annoyed is annoying me. (Ironically). You seem to be annoyed about everything, and however snobbish that sounds it just irritates me. However, like I said, leave off him. I, for one, hope he passes his trial and then excesses his Mod work higher.

First of all, thanks. It's always nice to hear people say they want you dead. Well anyway you and I know why you said that, and it has nothing to do with Habbox ;)
To clarify:
Why Merging Is Only Appropriate for Some Threads, And Why Others Have to be Locked:
Merging is done when there are a few giving similar but not identical information, however if there are two posts both saying:
"Habbo v12 is coming on Friday"
The original will have thoughtful, on topic posts connected to it. The other will have the same starting information, however posts following it will be those saying "Old News" or whatever
See, we have our reasons ;)

That is not the point.
The fact is moderators are closing threads that don't need to be closed. If you are elected as a moderator, you should make little mistakes as possible, otherwise you don't deserve to have that privilage.

He locks all the threads that he doesn't need to and goes infraction mad to do well at his trial. I hope he dies.
Well.. not really, but sounded dramatic.
Thats not very nice, and i think you'll regret saying that.
I've looked through the threads and there fair, i'd of closed them all aswell.

And when we are right, we get banned :) or ignored. I prooved MAD wrong and he blanked me when I asked him why he didnt ban someone he should have.
