im queer myself.
gay people don't normally call themselves queer... in its old meaning, queer means strange. think about that. i do NOT mean that in offence, it's just that it's normally a name homophobes call gay people...

i doubt they'd get them in... they'd do some weird thing or other, let alone actually turn up.

Well, considering their homosexuality was an act their record label forced upon them in order to gain publicity and cause controversy I don't see how it's a bad example. And besides that the acceptance of homosexuality should be encouraged rather than brushed into the closet (bad pun!) and remaining a taboo subject for teenagers - and people in general - to accept or come to terms with.

Tatu are great. At the height of their international success they really brought homosexuality to the fore front, and thats exactly what's needed if its ever to be globally accepted.

How is it homophoebic?

Promoting lesbianism to young, teenage kids who live in a world of mixed emotions and feelings isn't exactly the best idea is it?

Promoting? :l It's not like they get to choose if they want to be a lesbian or not.

it's only offensive if you choose to find negative connotations in it.
they're called taty, but had to change to tatu when they got popular outside russia
