Someone with a mobile pocket PC can access your phone via BlueTooth and use exploits in the way the bluetooth works on particular phones to hack them and take control of your phone. This means they can access anything on it and use your phone to make calls to premium rate numbers which they have set up, so you lose money from the premium rate calls and it goes straight to them.

Video on someone doing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dltjEnrePxc

as if im gonna accept.

You don't need to accept as they are using exploits on the phone which allows them do access it without your permission.

Its from the BBC 3 show "The Real Hustle". I watched it on the show and I was shocked how easy it is if you have the know how. Luckily,or unluckily sometimes, I dont have bluetooth.

My BlueTooth runs the battery like a ho' on speed, so I only have it on when I'm sending/receiving something from a friend.

Yeah, my friend can do that. But seriously, how many jerks like that buy one of those personal computers just so they can go around annoying people with them.

'Jerks' buy them because if you know how to do it. You can make loads of money, if you set up a premium rate line that is.

Like in the video. He was in the shopping centre for I dunno how long, and by doing this scam he made around 500

thats why people do it
