Well to start off with, how much have you got to spend on supplies...?

Jae
02-01-2007, 06:21 PM
Quite alot. 200 - 300 to start with, getting more when i get a job.

Why start your own shop, why don't you just create an ebay account find a supplier, sell for profit create your own shop online and get money, My dad did that orders supplies for computers ect builds powerful pcs and sells them and gets profit so it's a good idea to do.

So, i buy stuff from ebay, and sell on my shop ?

?php?
02-01-2007, 06:38 PM
What i mean is if you find the right supplier like the proper computer part companies, have accounts and shops on ebay and sell for cheaper, thats if ure doing computer it can be for anything like games ect. and then you can get them maybe ad stuff like extra games, or just sell it and probably make more, but i mean about you making an account on ebay also. as in u selling on ebay aswell. i'm sure it'd work out better in the long run.

A company on eBay has a little thing you may be interested in.

You buy 6 of their guitars, and sell them on as a reseller of their company. You have to buy 6 at a discount rate MINIMUM, and then you can sell them.

Basically, jsut go on eBay, look at the wholesale section, and buy some things cheapo

By making a Online Shop, you have to pay money to actually just have the site, where as on eBay you already have the site, and a HUGE customer-base to sell your products. And if you have your own site your binded by a contract, which you can't go back on.
The best thing to start off selling with is; CDs and DVD, buy them cheap and sell for high. There normally quite cheap at Asda, so you could start there and move on progressively!
Good luck =]

DO NOT start with CD's.
Most people have CD's on eBay for £5, BUY IT NOW

You cant get much profit on selling if you buy from ASDA.

Like I said, look on eBay for wholesale lots. Or find a niche in the market

Dudely. Love your sig pic :)

if u go to the habbo home page and click design t - shirt i think they have sub domain. erase habbo and go to the website ( nt sure wat it called )
If you create an account ur customers can design theire own t-shirts, pay for them, u get profit and the company u signed up with does the t-shirts

Why would they want to pay £10 odd for a shirt that shrinks in the washing machine?

I advise selling on eBay and Amazon. ;]

I have been thinking about ebay, but i don't know what to sell.

http://wholesale.ebay.co.uk/

Look for a large amount of QUALITY stock for a small price. Look for a niche in the market, and sacherise it via eBay with some great advertising.

Make your own t-shirts, find funny quotes to put on them, and then sell
them.

-> Do something your interested in / can make good profit on
-> Look into it: Look at the market, what you buy them can buy it/them for, what you can sell it for (undercutting the other people in the market)
-> Phone up manufacturers / wholesalers and go into wholesalers. Ask for samples/previews. Remember when buying directly from manufactures, once they are delivered you get 30 days before you pay. When I started up my company: before I had come to pay after the 30 days, I had gone into profits so could pay for it without going into my own pocket.
-> Look into couriers: Cheapest for the weight of items
-> Order in stock: Make sure you have a nice warm / dry place to store the items. Maybe think about buying some storage if buying in bulk.

Try not to buy in bulk from wholesalers, try to go to the manufacture and cut out the middle man. Good luck with it. ;)

Aslong as the comics are limited, ones that collectors need to finish thier collection. Usually the RARE ones, and also make sure there in MINT condition, otherwise profit margines will be slim.

Jae

How much is the P&P?

It changes for each product, I have never ordered from them but a lot of merchants use them so it must be good. Not sure but you may have to pay duty on them as you are importing, phone up customs first.

Well, theres that possibility with all products in a shop. But if you get good advertising, popularity then you are most certain to sell your products.

Just a question, would you need a lisence to sell the games...?
