I am thinking of changing my host to AX-Hosting but i have a few questens can anyone help me with them plz:

1)It says unlimted MySQL databases how much space do the databases have?
2)What dynamic types of pages dose it support e.g php.asp,asp.net,ColdFusion?
3)Dose it have a cgi-bin?

:P Not sure on the mysql front but ive never had prblems.. erm language wise It supports most but I have found it dosent support asp >:( and It does have a cgi-bin :)

Ax Hosting is pointlessly good and bad at the same time, when their servers go down it takes ages for them to reboot etc. When it happened on this forum, you could download the database for no reason

Ive never had any problmes, athogh im not sure how much space they give per databse, i have a quite larghe one. whoich has had no problems.
databse wize you get both mysql and PostgreSQL
(im on platinem plan)

php, ssi, cgi (perl) . but no asp or coldfusion.

£15 a year..
There are set packages - which are very good, or you can get the owner to make you a custom one. If your intrested in custom ones, pm me and i'll ask him to get in contact with you :)

I use Ax-Hosting.com and I just found a better host that's less money and comes with a free shoutCAST server of 50 listeners when you buy the hosting. AX has a lot of downtime and has 1000 mb's of space. That's one of positives. Another positive is there's unlimited everything. It doesn't come with any extra's to the hosting and one of the downfalls is if you don't have a domain name none of the cPanel features will work :( That's just my opinion but I were to go to another host I would go with www.KMH-Hosting.com as they have everything ax has plus 3 x more space for £2.00 pounds less. And AX doesn't have refunds that's the biggest downfall to their hosting. :eusa_wall

i think ill stick with ax.

www.KMH-Hosting.com says it good but has, no specas, every page is just trying to get you to order, its layouts falling to bits etc etc. its badly desihgned and layed out, and the lack of deatil on the packages puts you starte off.

ax is by far one of the most reliable hosts on the net. Whatever scripts you plan to use ax will support them, i garentuee you that!

If you choose them you wont be dissapointed, i promise!

AX has been around for a while had has gotten its self a good reputation.
KMH has been around for less than a month and has no rep what so ever

Lets take a look at some facts that makes AX the better of the two:

Servers:
Ax has 4 dedicated servers which have an uptime of 99.9%
KMH has a reseller which probobly cant give shoutcast servers

Space:
AX have a minimum of 320 gig
KMH probobly have about 5 gig maybe a little more or less

Bandiwidth
Not even gonna go into that because its not really relvant

Some other interesting stuff that puts me off KMH:
KMH has no billing or ordering system (Just a ****** html Email/PayPal form)
AX has one of the best billing systems along with one of the best ordering systems
KMH has no Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy
AX has both which or well written
KMH give no information on thier packages
AX give as much information as possible
KMH dont appear to have any anti virus or firewall on the server
AX constantly update there anti virus and firewall and have a Cisco Firewall which is IMO one of the best around

the list is near enough endlss i just cant be botherd to type anymore :P

I really really advise anyone to use AX over KMH :8

Also what do you plan do do about the situation? I mean nothing illigal has happened here? We all prefere another host to yours, get over it. PLus your hosting is extortionate! £75 a year, dude ax gives you 2GIG for more than half thatprice of that.

We had our old shoutcast hosting suspended because one of our dj's had an argument with some other radio site guy over m.s.n :s I mean what the hell does that have to do with my hosting?

I moved provider with shoutcast and forum hosting but still had 10 days paid hosting left but they cancelled my accounts and billing when i still had 10 days left.

They kept getting shut down for hosting scam sites on their server and then said its not their fault :s They took the persons money for hosting and should keep an eye on what people host there.

When Adam was in charge i know they had some downtime but at least he sorted any problems but now I would'nt even have any sites there if they paid me.

All in all a total waste of time run by people who have no idea what they are on about.

I left them because the new owner has no idea and closed us for stupid reasons that were nothing to do with my sites. I give them 0/100 theres cheaper hosting out there but i don't mind paying a little more to a company who know what they are on about.

They use Clientexec
Its the best Client system on the net. You can bet ya bottom dollar that sites with this are 100% safe as it costs quite a lot.

Thats why i got hosting from lc-hosting as they use that other wise i wouldnt have done :p
