Name Changes Rant.

Right, now I have rock solid evidence.

If we want our names changing to someone's that is banned, then we can't have it - even though it's not on the members list.

HOWEVER

-legoman- has recently changed his name to 'Dan' which I know for sure was taken.

Explain.

Nothing to do with corruption. Hes a VIP so he gets to have a name change just as any other VIP would.

That name was taken by someone that hasnt used the forum in 3 years, so its fine :).

Because we dont want the banned people having their account names back or anyone else having it because when accounts a banned ban logs are made and if we started changing their names it would get too confusing for an admin when he wants to see why a certain account was banned.

no, because we're not admins/smods.

The problem is that we cant do anything to make them let us change our names, We agreed to THEIR Terms and conditions, Meaning we have to abide by thier rules, fair or not.


At the end of the day its just a Name.

Nobody reads them but you all agreed to them.

The new system of banning I think says you put the userid, which will avoid confusion when it comes to banning then changing names.

But it is a lot of time for a Forum Administrator to check all this.
