just make a image save it is a favicon.ico upload it and it should work
p.s don't ask me how to make a ico i have no idea but google my friend is the key to all the answers

its EASY. just create an .ico file with the name favicon and upload it to your public_html or root html docs directory.

Then thats all you need to do. to conver images to ico's i suggest imagicon http://www.download.com/Imagicon/3000-2192_4-10574690.html?tag=lst-0-1 .
