Nice design. But can i just ask why my sites name is in the banner...?

JoeComins
06-01-2007, 05:42 PM
The name isn't trademarked, so I can freely use it. It also says, NOT MusicXQ

Liberation

Ah okay, i dont mind, i was just wondering ;]

He didn't say it was trademarked, or even ask you to remove it, he was only asking you a question?

JoeComins

:)

I jsut couldnt think of another name. I was going to put it s MusicXQ.com so you'd get a little bit of advertising, but I decided not, just incase you were to use it :)

I didnt know who owned it. I cant remember theser things!

And Bomb-Head, you must look through my posts to find an excuse to Infract me, which is really ******* annoying, so I'd appreciate it if you didnt infract me for **** all.

JoeComins

And bomb-head.

Isn't that the same thig you gave me a warning for? Repling to someone else's post in the thread that was offtopic? Hyprocrit

C18. Do not make off topic posts - Off topic and random posts are not allowed. Your post must be related to a post made earlier in the thread or about the thread itself

If you wish to appeal against an infraction, please use the appropriate thread, not this one.

Can you atleast say something relevant to the purpose of the thread.

I don't like the main content boxes - the gradient is too heavy.

You still have the same patterned background that you always use ;)

Some thing new :). lol

This look great, I got tried of seeing the same sort of thing over and over again, nice job on the banner, I think the BG looks sort of oldish but it goes with this layout very well.

Also is it coded?

JoeComins

No. It isnt coded.

It mean removing one line of CSS to remove the background, and its nothing like my old floral one. I got it yesterday

It's almost exactly the same - it gives out the same impression.

It doesn't go with the Music theme of the layout.

That sort of pattern should go on delicate layouts.

No. It isnt coded.

How much would you be looking for coded?

JoeComins
06-01-2007, 07:14 PM
XHTML, CSS, PHP Includes, CSS rollovers, PSD file, etc . . .

Due to a hectic schedual, it would be around £40 to £55 Paypal, Postal Order, or Cheque.

Proberly out of your price range

Damn I was thinking around £20-30 but I'll think about it, if you get a buyer dont keep it for me.

For templates and coding, I charge by the hour, rather than a set rate
Ill work out the cost for you.

Sure, but they arnt that size. I just filled a section with them. I dont know their size each, but its easy enough to work out

Over the last two months, when Ive been working, Ive averaged around £27 per hour, so this is cheap :)

How come you've put in VAT I thought you would have to be a lisensed* bussness and over 18 (I don't know your age so correct me if I'm wrong) for that to even affect you?

Anyway £52 is out of my price range sorry I'll pm you if I get more money spare.

Thanks and +rep again once I can.

*not sure I spelt it right

JoeComins

I dont actually do the books for VAT, but Value Added Tax? I included things such as paypal fee's, postage fee's, internet connection fee's, etc.
And the person's bank account that it goes into gets VAT taken, me thinks

Just anything that costs.
£25 uncoded maybe. Not-unique. No resale rights
Its a time issue

Nice layout.

He didn't say it was trademarked, or even ask you to remove it, he was only asking you a question?
Yes, and his question was "why are you using that name". He used the name because it wasn't trademarked. I don't recall Liberation asking for any specific detail as to why he used that name. Therefore Joe's post answered the question fine, and anyhow Liberation seemed happy with Joe's response.
