Well I'm thinking of joining the navy and becoming a marine, it really appeals to me. Has anyone got any parents/siblings/relatives who was or is a marine? Being a marine is really appealing to me, like everything about it really {apart from the family side etc} or the army although I'd prefer marines, if I can't become a marine then army would be cool, anyone's relatives in/been in the army? Any feedback from them about it, or what their thoughts on it were/are? Thanks (:

Also open to discussion randomly about the marines/army or your thoughts on either.

Safe! It's not just fighting either, like you find drug-dealers etc & things like that.

Oh cool!! Well I'm thinking of joining and being a chef in the navy! Although I wouldn't mind just being a marine.

my dad was in the army & hated it so switched over to the navy.
he loves it, & the only thing he hates about it is being away from family etc.
like atm he's in british columbia for 9 months, but he's back in march.
