I HAVE A QUESTION THAT WILL CONFUSE YOU ALL!

I was sat at the table one night after having dinner and my parents sayed 'i enjoyed that'. How can you enjoy food? You eat it to stay alive, you dont eat food for the taste or do you?

I believe it is for both purposes. If we didn't eat food for the pleasure of it why would we bother eating out at nice restaurants and so on. I certainly enjoy eating, even if i do it anyway to sustain myself.

You can eat to live, but also live to eat.

You may eat a pack of crisps, or chocolate bar if you’re not really hungry, which is therefore enjoyment rather than to stay alive :/

Some people work in tasting food to find the pleasure and enjoyable aspect of it. That is quite a good job. People don't look at food nowadays and think 'Must eat, must survive!'

Anyway, you can enjoy food, if someone forced me to eat something, i would start to gag and eventually be sick, thats why we have tastebuds, if it was just a matter of staying alive, then we wouldn't be so picky about what we have for dinner!

Anyway, I think that if u didnt enjoy your food eating would get a bit booring.
Imagine sitiing down every day and putting something tasteless in your mouth, chewing and swollowing. Eating would be a chore!
