I just seen on a website that the 999 emergency services number is getting changed to '0118 999 88199 9119 725 3'

The site is www.01189998819991197253.co.uk (http://www.01189998819991197253.co.uk/)

The people have put there TV advert on there!!

Doubt they would ever change emergency numbers. Old people call those numbers quite a lot, and they dont keep up with the news or remember changes that easily, that would cause a major problem.

Did anyone actually watch the vid before taking this thread seriously?

MADNESS!

pmsl

From now on dialing 999 wont get you the emergency services, and that's not the only thing that's changing.
- Nicer ambulances
- Faster response times
- And better looking drivers

Were not the emergency services, were your emergency services.

Please do not send hoax emails, as they waste our message limit in our inbox.

No, urm... it's 999 basically because in problems like... visual discrepancies (fires) and loss of sight, blindness etc, you go 3 down 3 along and it's 3 taps. 999

That is fake. If it was true, which it wouldn't be as '999' is accessible then it would be on a government website.

The people have put there TV advert on there!!

if noone has noticed the advert is the it crowd.

u honestly think thats a real site lol.
its a prank.

lol
"999. Three simple digits.
Easily mistyped.
Hard to remember.

The change is being made simply because to many people are accidentally dialing it. This is putting more lives at risk because genuine callers can't get through. Also, is the fact that it is pretty hard to remember, hency why there is the new number.

With the new number, it is a tiny bit longer, so it wont be misdialed. "

who did the mega bump lol

Just about to say - Under Why? it says better looking drivers, but people have posted it. Lol. Also the website's images on homepage are like pixelated if you know what I mean, most likely from google. Who actually misdials 999 anyway its not like anyones number just has 3 digits lol.
