Work Experience

Well..
Im going on Work experince On the 22nd Jan
And.. I got my form thing back today.
Its a private placement
My hours are from 7.45am - 5.45 PM
Thats 10 hours
And im not aloud out for lunch, i have to take my ownn


Anyway..
What did you do for Work experince?
And any of you doing it soon?

we do ours in the last week of yr 10. no idea wha im gonna do yet hah, though ill have to find somewhere soon.

uhh i haven't done work experience yet but we've had simular phse stuff like that (i went to my parents works for the day n stuff)

when the rest of my school have activities week and sports week, we have 2 weeks work experience :'(

but mines like, last week of june and first week of july.

Doing mine in in June :) can't wait, I have applied for the local veterinary surgery, local lower school and virgin megastores, hope I get the veterinary surgery though :( my school do it for two weeks, going to be a blast and I can't believe you are not allowed out for lunch, its work experience, its experiencing the working industry you should be allowed out ''/

Lol i went to a vets it was awesome, and i got to laugh at a nerd who was working at thew co-op :D And we went to the fish & chip so for lunch :D

I did mine at Sainsburys ages ago when I was in year 10. :8 Then I got a job there over the summer holidays.

I did mine halfway through year 10 the 1st week I was at some health centre place and the people hated me I heard them talking about me and this one woman just kept giving me sweets. The 2nd week I was at a pharmacy which sounds boring but the people were really nice and I got freebies and there were loads of shops near so my lunchbreak was fun

I was in year 11 when I did mine, our school was like the last ones to do it >.< But yeah I worked at the local Law Courts, was just an office thing but I got to sit in on a couple of court cases (but I can't say what cases because I'm legally bound not to now :8) and when I was doing computer filing (just copying data into the OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT computer records, nothing important ^_^) I was better at it than the people who actually worked there so they got a bit annoyed.

I worked at a restaurant as a chef in there. It was awesome, probably one of my best times. It was for 2 weeks and the hours were good, like 9 till 3 and basically there was alot of buffets we cooked for and alot of the times whatever was left over was my lunch although I didn't get lunch till about 3 cos it was busy - and the buffet food was delicious:8 I well enjoyed working there and met alot of new people and the head chef was ace and I wanna go back there actually lol. I think I'll probably go onto become a trainee chef because it showed me that that type of job is something I'm definately interested in.

I thought if you were under 16/18 years old you could only work for 9 hours per day??:s

Well i'm doing mine March-April time for two weeks at my local football club - AFC Telford Utd.:P

Year 11 smells :( I hate Music :'(

I was a graphics designer for the week ^_^
re-designed the Bentley show room in Cardiff on computer then made a big model etc.

I do mine at the end of this year, the last two weeks of the school year in July. I'm going on a school trip in the first week, but it still counts as one week we've done :P. Dunno how that works really. Still dunno what I want to do for the other week tho :(.

Seriously, that sucks, you are missing a vital opportunity to experience the working industry then again my year is supposedly the last to do it at my school :D
