User Member Ranks (your help needed)

Hello forum members!

We are thinking of changing the current system of user ranks that exists for members that are not VIP or Habbox staff.

At the moment we have a system based on post counts with the following ranks.
-newbie
-junior member
-member
-greater member
-senior member
-habbox elite
-habbox master
-habbox god

In the new system the ranks will not only be based on post count, but also on some other variables like how long you have been registered. In the new system each time you reach a higher rank you also get some extra features.

We want to ask your help with coming up with some names that we can use for the different ranks, as we don't want to use the ones above anymore.

PLEASE THINK ABOUT A LIST OF 5/6 NAMES THAT CAN BE USED FOR THE NEW RANK SYSTEM, AND REPLY TO THIS THREAD WITH YOUR IDEA.
YOU MAY ALSO REACT TO IDEAS POSTED BY OTHERS.

EXAMPLE:
Pheasant - Farmer - Warrior - Lord - King

The ranks maybe be based on anything, for example Harry Potter, Star Wars, the military.

Maybe you could use metals in order of rareness? For example, Gold if you have a higher rank..
Tin, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold...
btw, what extra features will you get when you get a higher rank? Because if you get similar features as vip then it wont be worth buying vip..

Commoner (Picture of habbo head with damaged straw hat + wild hair)
Noble (Habbo Head with long fine hair)

I quite like them as they are but if they needed a change Medieval ftw. Or if you could organise it, different titles for different skins. A medieval skin to include medieval ranks, classic skin uses current ranks, space skin uses maybe scientific ranks, seasonal skins use seasonal creatures (eg for halloween - Newbie = spider, Regular Member = Ghoul, all the way up to Habbox God = Monster!)

i agree about the army bit, but a lot of people don't play habbo on here and only use the 'general' section. that's why i suggested the gold rank, silver rank, etc.

1st Rank - Nothing.
2nd Rank - Can store up to 20 more PM's than normal.
3rd Rank - Can send PM's to 5 recipients at a time.
4th Rank - Allowed 1 name change, if they don't want it, tough. :p
5th Rank - Allowed a bigger signature.
6th Rank - Bold name.
7th Rank - Custom usertitle (Cannot request HTML one however), Allowed own sub-forum to keep forever.
7th Rank - Allowed HTML usertitle (admin set), allowed 1 name change a month, ability to store 100 more PM's than usual. (not counting the 20 granted in the first rank.)
8th Rank (Last rank) - 100 free rep points, ability to see a "elites/or w/e only forum", ability to see who left rep, and anything else you can think of. :p

I feel that the historical / hobby based themes, IE: Medieval, Army, Runescapish, should be avoided because different members have different likes and interests, therefore might not like certain ranks/rank systems. Why not just have the same ranks, gems, or metals?

With the last 4 titles people will be confused.
We need something general like what we have now which I believe is fine. Maybe a few adjectives could be changed in the middle ranks.

Yes we want to use your star system but not to replace repuation. We want to add a number of stars to each rank, so that for each rank you have a number of stars you have to get before you switch to the next rank.

and if you let people get more features when they got to a certain stage, features like html usertitles and subforums, wouldnt that defeat the object of having the VIP system? because it wouldnt be worth buying VIP if you can get all the features free..

I don't know any names or anything but extra features for each.

1st Rank - Nothing.
2nd Rank - Can store up to 20 more PM's than normal.
3rd Rank - Can send PM's to 5 recipients at a time.
4th Rank - Allowed 1 name change, if they don't want it, tough. :p
5th Rank - Allowed a bigger signature.
6th Rank - Bold name.
7th Rank - Custom usertitle (Cannot request HTML one however), Allowed own sub-forum to keep forever.
7th Rank - Allowed HTML usertitle (admin set), allowed 1 name change a month, ability to store 100 more PM's than usual. (not counting the 20 granted in the first rank.)
8th Rank (Last rank) - 100 free rep points, ability to see a "elites/or w/e only forum", ability to see who left rep, and anything else you can think of. :pI know 3rd rank: 1 name cange 4th rank: 2name changes.Edit:Sry For Double P&#246;st!

I think the star idea is good. But maybe with ranks from smiddy's post, like
Iron
Bronze
Steel
Crystal
Silver
Ruby
Gold
Platinum
Diamond

and if you let people get more features when they got to a certain stage, features like html usertitles and subforums, wouldnt that defeat the object of having the VIP system? because it wouldnt be worth buying VIP if you can get all the features free..
Yeah, I think all the anniversary's is too many, I like the idea of just using the metal's from them.
So it'd go something like..

0 - 499 posts - Iron
500 - 999 posts - Bronze
1,000 - 1,999 posts - Steel
2,000 - 3,499 posts - Crystal
3,500 - 5,499 posts - Silver
5,500 - 7,999 posts - Ruby
8,000 - 10,999 posts - Gold
11,000 - 14,499 posts - Platinum
15,000+ - Diamond.

Yes we want to use your star system but not to replace repuation. We want to add a number of stars to each rank, so that for each rank you have a number of stars you have to get before you switch to the next rank.

well if you can't do what I suggested because it's not possible then I suggest a simple generalising memberranks that we have now.
I'm also a little confused.. New members will be called "paper" members?
