I saw a show a few days ago, where people were having plastic surgery, and it made me wonder what posses these people, to want to go and have their face modified. There is some people, that have it so much that they spend millions of pounds on it, and they look completley different and fake, and people who have things like whiskers and stuff implanted in their face, because they want to seem more "animal like".
Having it done for those reasons i think its just really stupid. But, then you have people who have plastic surgery for proper reasons like, they have had accidents, and plastic surgery could help fix this and things like that. And, people who have things wrong with them, and they wante it fixed, like small breast, or crooked noses or something like that. Now, that i agree with it, if its for a proper reason, to try and fix a problem with your looks instead of just changing it 'cause you can and your obessed with it.
I kind of things, that there should be a limit on how many times you can go and have plastic surgery, because sometimes people go and have it millions of times and they don't look right after.
Whats your views on it?

If they want it, they can have it. Just won't be getting any of my sexual love ;)
i have no negative views on it, unless people have gone to the extreme. i think i saw that show a while back with the cat guy. & someone who'd had devils horns put on their head.
i have no problem with body modification but when you have people who are like 4"1 with size L ****s, it's going a bit far innit.
if i could afford to have plastic surgery, i would.
my view on plastic surgery is i dont mind doesnt concern me lol :)
id have it if i could afford it.
liposuction on belly and legs, then id look like jordan.

I think if people are willing to spend that sort of money on altering appearances - then so be it. Who are we to take their right of freedom away? There is no restrictions on what you can buy on other cosmetic things so why should their be on plastic surgery?
I agree with you however, people do become obsessed with it and in the long run, generally look worse off in a lot of cases. However, a lot of time the situation with plastic surgery is because people are simply unhappy with the way they look, and therefore change it - making them feel happier and stronger as a person.
Also as a side line, would you class having your teeth done and laser eye surgery as plastic surgery? =P
I generally don't care what people spend their money on, if it's plastic surgery, so be it. But what freaks me out is the people that have it to look like celebrities.
I remember a show on MTV, where these two guys who were having plastic surgery to look like Brad pitt. The outcome was hilarious.

The people who do it just because they have money are stupid yeah, but when they look in the mirror they just see an ugly person. Take Michael Jackson as example, he has totally modified his entire face. Aparent;y it was becasue he didnt want to look anything like his dad.
I think plastic surgury is ok when you have it done if you really need it eg. accidents, small breastsor crooked noses.

I'm 13, and I weigh about 118 pounds. According to my doctor, I'm like 15 pounds overweight. I'd much rather go and excersise, like I do every day, then go and pay millions for lipsuction. Same thing with your face. If I had an accident, or something wrong with my face that made me look weird, sure, I'd do it, but if I just wanted to look more like a star or someone else, I wouldn't.

aha so true.
i'd never have plasic surgery, i don't see the point in editing my looks cos i doubt it would make my life any different.
but i guess if people have the money, they can do what they want.
& i agree with you char, if someone really needs it after an accident or something, its fine.
but people who have gone overboard with it, probably look worse than they did to begin with.
