I downloaded WoW off the website and created a 10day free trial account, now after 10 days do I have to buy the disc to play properly or what?

No, it's a no disk game :P the disks are just so you don't need to spend hours downloading it xD

you have to buy the discs yes, the 10day download free-trial is only for that 10days then you have to buy the discs
^ wrong, you can continue to play even after your trial expires. As long as you pay for it though lol.

No you can't you need to buy an authentication key, you can get them online though, not as reliable though

you need the auth key to keep playing..... you only get it with the disc set or you could get it illegally and get banned? :)

I downloaded the 10 day free trial and then all i did to carry on playing was buy a members key and it still works.
So where do I get an auth key without buying disc?
Well I can buy a key from their site? But if I want to upgrade to burning crusade can I whout having the original Disc just the original I downloaded?

It's not illegal to buy auth keys online, as long as you're doing it from a trusted site it doesn't matter, also even if it was illegal blizzard wont find out, they have no possible way to unless you're stupid enough to tell them yourself
