A looonnnggg time ago I bought a thing to get your PS2 online. I got confused and I never used it. I think it was like $40, so now I'm trying to get my money's worth.

Okay, so I tried and I know you have to plug in an ethernet cable in the back of it. So I looked at my modem and I saw an ethernet cable and I saw it was plugged into our router which is used with my USB network adapter to connect. So when I unplugged the ethernet from my router... my internet shut off. What do I need to do? Do I need to have some way to use my network adapter to connect to my ps2 via ethernet? I don't see a way I would do that. Help. :(

You unpluged the wrong cable.

You need another cable going from your router to connect to the PS2. Not unplug the cable going from the modem.

I thought so. But I don't see how? Where can I buy this and how would it work?

You can buy ethnernet cables at almost all electronic stores.

If you look on the back of your router, there should be multiple ports. Plug the cable into one of the free ports, and the other end into the PS2.
