I don't think it is, i think it's just down to what kind of genre movie you prefer. And, also down to what kind of thing you can handle to see, because, some of the scenes in movies can be a bit graphic and really gorey, whereas in other movies, its a simple stab and your done.

But, in my opinion, i don't think it's wrong to watch these movies.

Nope, most people are well aware it's all fictional.

For some people that amount of gore is what they like to see - humans have a built in morbidity factor, stuff like that is exciting or thrilling to us in some way. No reason anyone should call it sick if it's a fictional movie.

Now if it really happened and people were saying how great it was, perhaps it'd be a little different. But then that wouldn't surprise me too much these days either.

In fact I bet it happens often.

I think you seriously need to outline what your trying to say. You cant start an opionitive question with just one line.

I personally don't. The people who do are just pedantic. If they beleive they have some sickening lust to maim from watching movies like that, well to bad its just them. Movies like Saw are amazing to experience, it shows the realistic dark side on human life.

They can say what they want, but most people who watch someone saw through their own leg are more likely to be scared, not influenced to re-create such scenes.

If it was, movie comanys arnt likly to spend 100s of millions crateing exsacty that type of movie, there popular hence there are alot of films in the genre. Nothing sick about it, just prefrance.
