This was a psycology experiment to see how normal people put in prison or given power reacted.
It's quite interesting reading. Basically, although the "prisoners" have done nothing wrong, and although the guards are just normal people and know that the prisoners have done nothing wrong, the guards end up tormenting the prisoners and the prisoners end up feeling like they're really in prison.
Read it if you want :)

Yeah, I agree.
Guards shouldn't be allowed to abuse their power like they do in some cases.

Wth? How's it out of order? They've killed/broken the law or w/e
(Depending on the crime, not if they haven't payed tax or something)

We did about that in Psychology last year but I can't really remember much about. Wasn't it the study that was really unethical? I seem to link it to Ethics in my mind although I can link it to sommat else that I can't put a name to :@

Yea, but the results a somewhat suspect, if you remember they attempted to repeate the experiment on tv (Itv?), and the results were completely different in that, none of the behavioral changes actually took place, so seeing that the exprerment to my knwolage has only been carried out twice, and has only returned the expected results on one of them, the entire clame is pretty much completey undermined, which points to a major flaw in the underluying hypthisis "/

no it's not, their in there as a punishment, and they shouldn't get treated like **** aswell.
Just read it, chilling stuff and a good example of human behaviour.
