+reps for mat maze tutorial

I don't really need a tuorial just tell me how to stack mats.
I am hoping to make a maze looking a bit like this:

It would be helpful because actually all I need to know is how to I stack the mats?

I made one maze room so far using a pillar but on the second room, i cant stack things on the pillar in some parts of the room. :(

But anyways I will give you +reps anyone who responds even if their answer doesn't work. ^_^

Buy 2 pillars, put 1 in front and one in the square directly behind. (diagonal.)

Then put the mat on. hope this works. :)
