I was impressed at this so i'll CC the hell out of it. I very rarely give CC as extensive as this but I can tell you put alot of effort into this so here goes:
- The plant is perfect, the pattern on the vase ruins it. The pattern is'nt parallel with the shade of the vase. Unless it's supposed to waver, then I take it back.
- The seats have too many black in lines. The wood effect just looks like scratches tbh. The shading on the seats is ok, but looks more like plastic than fabric.
- The rug is just flat. Too flat. It just looks like paint. There's no texture either. Look at Kaytii's medieval furniture. There's a perfect example of a rug with great texture.
- The table has little shading and no wood effect at all.
- The actual phone handset could use some shading.
That said and done;
A good quality alt and it's good to see someone putting effort into their work.

What is with no black lines in alts nowadays? Habbo uses black lines in its furniture? HC Sofa etc etc. Not having them makes them look un-Habboish and defeats the point of Habbo alts...
This was directed to anyone whos criticism is "Too many black lines." If they were trying to make realistic pixel art furniture, then maybe no black lines in areas, but that is not always the case, it varies on the sort of pixel art you are making. Habbo alts look like Habbo furniture and follow the same rules, therefore black lines are in pillows etc.
Anyway, enough counter criticisms ;)
It's a nice alt. The vase needs a bit of work, the pattern is a bit untidy, it sort of dips down, then flat, then goes up again? The carpet is interesting, but I think in order to make it look like a fabric mat, it will need a few hairs draw in randomly. At the moment it looks like a rubber mat, which looks good, but not in this scene ;)
The floor panels I think need to be worked on. I don't recall floor panels being just one length, but a multipe of panels to create one length of the room? Not really important, but it would seem more realistic.
I'm not sure what to say about the sofas to be honest. I wouldn't say they look solid, because the way you've shaded them and show where the light is makes it seem not too solid. I don't think it would look good detailed in a way as to make it look like fabric. I think they're ok as they are.
The phone need a bit of shading added to the ear piece, at the moment it appears in just one colour.
Last but not least, the end table on the left looks like it is missing something on top of. Maybe a news paper or some paper work? It would finish it off nicely and give it a homely effect.
8/10 overall, lovely work :)

The rules are,
Black lines seperate. As you can se in the Hc Sofa below. Eg pillows are seperated by black lines.
Shading shows edges/corners. As you can see in the sofa below. I highlighted some examples for you.

Now notice her sofa, it follows the same rules. Actually, it follows the rules more :rolleyes:

The circles show where the different sections meet. The 2 squares are the colours.
To be honest, I think it doesn't follows the rules. Where two different colours meet should be divided by a blackline, rather than a darker brown or the dominant darker colour.

I highlighted in blue the black lines I meant the whole time. Not the other lines you pointed out.

Never mind. It's just an alt. I don't know why I'm getting so worked up about it.

Lol. Ok. A good tip for rugs is not make the shading so square. Here, look at my rug's shading;

Compared to yours;

Blend the shading. Mix it up a bit rather than make the colours definate. It will almost look messy.

Listen to Cola
He'll get you so far.
I agree with him with the Vase.
I think the " Wafer " Knocks the shape from it.

That is very good. :)
However there's a few improvements that could be made...
› Firstly, get rid of black lines that are in the middle of the furni (mainly the tables and sofas). Replace them with a very light shade of the wood.
› There are conflicting light sorces. You can't just rotate something without changing the position of the shades. For example, the sofa on the left is lighter at the front. This means the light is comming from the bottom right of the screen. Therefore, the other sofa should be lighter on the side of it rather than the front.
› I think there are pixel errors on the sofas near the top corners?
› The vase looks rounded at the top but the pattern on the side doesn't have the same shape if you know what I mean. Maybe you intended this?
› Oh and there are no shaddows on the floor. :o
Other minor details:
› The tables could use some more texture.
› The edge of the floor needs depth (see a habbo room).
› A personal touch but I would have put the rug in the middle of the visible floor space rather than right in the middle of the room.
Finally, those plants are extremely good but any chance of some WIP? ;)
+rep if I see some. :8
Thanks,
Rob. :)
