if you can afford the runes, i would use one of the wave spells, whether it be air, water or earth

as for where to train, PC is good if you just want xp, im not sure where the best place for good drops is though.

as for range, use a magic shortbow and make/buy several thousand iron/steel maybe mith arrows, the fire giants in the baxtorian falls are a good place to train ranged.

Ranged Go to north east of ardougne there are 10 ogres in cave.

Magic go to there too :D

Use knives andmagic high alchemie if u put up cannon.
Use mgic fire wave also.

wind wave will probably cost less where getting runes is concerned. so its probably the best option :)
