Preety good win considering they have Varney and Maynard, they were one of the title contenders once, It was just magic checking back and seeing 1-0,2-0, 3-0 and then 4-0, as we have given away 2-0's and 1-0's this season.

Yes, you don`t have to pinch yourself. Orient won 4-0 away at Crewe thanks to a superb performance in which they utterly humiliated Dario Gradi`s side. The O`s were rampant throughout and goals from Adam Chambers, Wayne Corden, Jabo Ibehre and Shane Tudor gave Orient a comfortable victory.
After a dispiriting defeat against Blackpool last weekend, Orient came out determined to take the game by the scruff of the neck. The O`s started at a good tempo and forced the early chances with Gary Alexander`s rasping effort well parried by Williams whilst the O`s number nine also forced the Alex 'keeper into a good save following his header from a Corden cross.
The O`s midfield was too much for Crewe and with Ibehre leading the Alex defence a merry dance all afternoon it was a surprise that it took the O`s so long to score. That elusive goal (http://www.orient.vitalfootball.co.uk/matchrep.asp?a=49071#) finally came just a minute before the break as the impressive Shane Tudor got down the right and pulled the ball back for Miller whose shot was spilled by Williams and Chambers slotted home the rebound from three yards.
The second half started much like the first with Orient in control and within 5 minutes they had doubled their advantage. Some superb link up play saw Ibehre release Alexander down the right hand side and his low whipped cross was smashed home at the far post by Corden.
It was a goal of real quality and underlined the superiority of Martin Ling`s side. Crewe had no answer to the relentless pressure and movement of the O`s, something that has not been seen too often this season.
It got even better for Orient on 68 minutes as they plundered a third goal. Some comedy defending from Baudet and 'keeper Williams allowed Ibehre to latch onto Tudor`s high ball and the forward rounded the 'keeper before rolling the ball home.
It was no more than Ibehre deserved after a tireless performance full of pace and power and little shortage of skill. The O`s forward terrified the Crewe defence all afternoon as Orient threatened to run up a cricket score on a cold afternoon in South Cheshire.
The O`s nearly got a fourth as Lockwood`s beautifully executed chip left Williams stranded but the ball cannoned off the top of the crossbar. However, they were not to be denied as Tudor received a pass from Chambers and after embarking on a solo run, the winger unleashed a right foot effort from 20 yards which beat the 'keeper at his near post.
That goal sealed a quite brilliant performance from the O`s and sets them up nicely for the visit of Port Vale next weekend.

Orient`s front six were very impressive with Easton and Chambers dominating the centre of midfield whilst Corden and Tudor caused all sorts of problems out wide. Although Crewe were poor, nothing should be taken away from Orient who played quite beautifully at times and simply overpowered the home side.
Jabo Ibehre was the main focal point for Crewe`s problems with neither of the Alex centre backs managing to handle the dangerous striker. Although he never looks like scoring, Jabo seems to cause panic in defences which is quite ironic considering his record in front of goal. However, credit must go to Ibehre for a all action performance which included his willingness to rush back and help out in defence.

There were plenty of scouts at Gresty Road to watch Luke Varney but the Crewe striker was played out of the game by young Brian Saah and Alton Thelwell. Whilst Thelwell has been a breath of fresh air since his arrival, Saah has improved leaps and bounds since coming into the side. The watching scouts must have been impressed with the ease he dealt with Varney who was a peripheral figure for most of the game.
Saah is improving with each and every game and with Mackie looking to return next weekend it will be interesting to see if Ling changes a winning team.

The 4-0 win over Crewe was Orient`s first 4-0 win away from home since 1956. It was a terrific performance but Martin Ling will be well aware that this result will go to waste unless the O`s can pick up three more points against Port Vale next weekend. However, there`s no reason why we can`t all enjoy this win for at least a few more days!
