Aside from the NL Derby which will be on all the back pages tomorrow, two of the top dogs for promotion to The Championship were beaten tonight by...well...lesser opposition (no offence Grainger!).

Bristol City (3rd) 0-1 Cheltenham (21st and my tip for the drop)
Carlisle (10th) 1-0 Nottingham Forest (4th)

I'm sure there'll be a very happy Cumbrian on his way home right now! :P

same happened in the championship last night with southend winning 3-1 at birmingham. cracking stuff :]Just goes to show how open and exciting the lower leagues are. Anyone can beat anyone on their day :] I remember our shock victory at Ninian Park at the time they were flying away at the top and we were battling at the bottom!
Didn't Southend also thrash WBA a few weeks ago? :P

Brilliant Leagues

I Remember When We Beat:

Luton Town 3-2 Birmingham- Nice To Beat Them As They Scored A Brilliant Goal
Luton Town 5-1 Leeds- Well Nuff Said Lol
Luton Town 3-2 Southampton- Second Game After Being Promoted, Dean Morgan Scored Our Winner 91st Min :)
Crystal Palace 1-2 Luton Town - First Game After Being Promoted Shut Them Right Up:D

I gather that's me then Brad :D. Yes, my internet has been a pain for the last few hours otherwise I'd have been on earlier.

And yes, I'm absolutely ecstatic over the result last night. We were resiliant and to be honest, deserved the win in the end. Jeff Smith had an excellent home debut and looked very good at set-pieces and even showed a bit of pace :).

Karl Hawley's goal was NOT offside. He ran from an onside position and Danny Livesey was not interfering with play. He actually scored a header for once :o and that was his 11th goal of the season.

The best stat of the night read:
Nottingham Forest - Shots on Target: 0

Scott Dobie started the match and when he was substituted got applauded off the field by the home fans. He was a great player I thought, until Knighton sells him for £100,000 to West Brom. :@

Also, Karl Hawley and Peter Murphy stayed, yet more reason to be pleased. :D :D :D

And by the way, no offence taken ;).

To be honest i didnt think much of Nott forest when they came down to us..... But that might be something to do with our keeper Neil Moss Taking out tyson in the first minute... :) Nothing like a good old game plan :)

Lol, very good gameplan there.

Tyson came on as a sub against us with Agogo. Neither did anything at all really :D. We kept a very good back line without Kev Gray . Peter Murphy did a great job as captain. Should stick with the same team for Saturday :).

4 points off now, still hoping, but I still can't see it. Forever the pesimist :P.

Yeah, Smith looked good going forward, fast and strong. Looked like he wanted a goal as well :), at last a good sign.
