Yup, it's true.
After 10 matches, England finally beat Australia in an immense and thrilling ODI.
England won the toss and decided to bat first, which proved to be a vital decision.
Another in-experienced team was put out by England, but they managed to cope well.
Ed Joyce was the pick of the England batsmen as he made 107 before falling to Shaun Tait. Ian Bell also made 51 off 60 balls.
England posted an innings total of 292-7 off 50.0 overs.
Plunkett was the first to bowl for England and he struck, first ball he had clean bowled Adam Gilchrist and Australia's dangerman was out, and the Aussie's were in trouble.
Brad Hodge was the next to go as Australia were reduced to 19-2 as an impressive bowling display by Liam Plunkett & Sajid Mahmood were troubling Australia to no end.
Matthew Hayden was the only Australian batsman to make a significent total, posting 51 off 62 balls.
Australia were eventually bowled out for 200 off 38.5 overs to allow England to win by 92 runs.
Liam Plunkett was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-24 and Bopara got his first ODI wicket for England aswell.
We attacked it fantastically from the start and the partnership between Ed Joyce and Ian Bell laid the platform.
The lads are all willing to fight and have carried on working hard, striving to improve, and it's nice when it comes together.
We were pretty average, but I don't think there's reason for concern.
We won't get too down and out about this, but certainly we want to work on the areas we think we can improve on from this game.
England now need to beat New Zealand in their final group match on Tuesday to have a chance of making the finals.
