A Policeman was killed and hundreds injured tonight as fan violence flared in the Palermo vs Catania derby match. Both clubs have a bad a reputation when it comes to hooliganism and tempers flared tonight as Palermo won the match 2-1. As a result of the horrific violence, all Serie A and Serie B matches have been postponed this weekend, as has Italy's international friendly with Romania. For a long time, I've really wanted to visit a match in a country like Italy where there's such a passion from the fans and the atmosphere must be electric but it's incidents like tonight which just strike fear into you. Thank God our league's not quite as corrupt!

They've made the right decision though. Italian football hs been like this, just not as bad, for a while now. This incident has just escalated the problem a lot further, hence the poetponement of all games to do with Italian sides. It's indefinitely as well so who knows when their games will start again.
