What is the best armour to DEFEND form range?

I'm doing moneky madness and i need to have a good idea of what armour protects from range the most.
I don't need help on the actuall quest, just what armour to wear to get past those idiot monkeys :)

Melee armour such as rune.

bring full rune and obby shield as obby shield has better range bonus then rune kite
