shoutbox and ajax

ok i have a shoutbox using ajax but when theres so many shouts that it needs a scrollbar it adds both even tho only vertical is needed is there a away i can make only the vertical scrollbar visable

why dont you just limit the amount of shouts?

the amount of shouts is limited ok look on colin-roberts.net see hows theres a vertical and horizontal scrollbar in shoutbox i want to get rid of horizontal one.

i cannot see a horizontal scrollbar. perhaps it only appears when a long message is posted, if that's the case then you'll need to use wordwrap.
