I host my domains at httP://123-reg.co.uk , around £2.50 if i rember correctly (you need to buy 2 years on co.uk though) Service is unrivaled.
For host, id suggest http://www.swainhosting.com/ whom currenly host me :)

Its £6.09 for a .co.uk 2 years, £10.56 for a .com, .biz, .org etc for 1 year.
namecheap.com - $8.88 which is about £4.67?
http://www.netfirms.com/domain-names/
$4.95 - So it must be around £2.50.
