again, i find this not funny, but just harsh. how would you like it if someone from your family was on one of the planes, or in the towers? its just not called for.

i dont mean offence. would be intersting to see what happens thats all. plus its a simulator not the real thing.

if you dont mean offence WHY SAY IT? and again i say, how is it intresting to see people die? and yh it may be a simulator but its still sick?

You would get permanently suspended from VATSIM if you simulated a hijack, yet alone 9/11..

Im currently 1229 miles from New York City and im landing in John Kennedy Airport (New York) and you've just made me feel sick telling me to simulate that..

I'm doing a transatlantic flight from EGCC-KJFK which is Manchester to New York.

ICAO codes are not like LHR, HUY etc.. They are different, The LHR, HUY, MAN codes are used on the ground, not for the pilots or ATC.

Either way, my flight is going well.. It's been fun, pretty long though - About 6 hours already, expecting to land about 2340z (GMT) which is 6:40pm local time in New York..

About 150 miles out of the east coast of the USA, will be making a nice trip down.

Can't edit so meh.

But landed okay, 1 aborted landing due to aircraft connecting on Runway - TO/GA was successfully executed, controler appologised.

Great contorlers at New York..

Had that had been a real flight, I would have wanted a big round of applause - I landed the aircraft safely despite a loss with windshear at 800, (Windshear is very servere turbulance that makes you loose altitude quickly!) and then landed and stopped.. The winds where strong, and crosswinds.. Meaning 80mph of winds gusting on the left hand side of me!

I am proud to have landed it, must be the most difficult and challanging landing I've EVER MADE!

You wanted to know though..

I checked route weather on takeoff from Manchester, and I did say that the approach and landing in New York would be bumpy..

Didn't expect that bad though, but passing 12000ft and being blown 10 degrees either side of my heading kinda indicated that it would be VERY VERY ROUGH.

Which it was, but my passengers are safely on the ground so no worries.

Windshear definition (We had loss): Localised change in wind speed and/or direction over a short distance, resulting in a tearing or shearing effect, usually at low altitude, that can cause a sudden loss of airspeed with occasionally disastrous results if encountered when taking-off or landing.
