It depends who you are i suppose. They go on your permanant record so when you grow older, even if you belive it was a "tag of respect" your gonna regret it tbh.

My friends go an ASBO for skating at my school at like 12 o clock at night LOL.

Definatly a punishment, anyone who looks at it as a tag of respect obviously doesn't have much of a future ahead of them.
