as the title says, HabboFM has been given a facelift, which includes a BRAND NEW LAYOUT

also, a new forum is on the way, but the existing one can still be accessed by going to www.habbofm.co.uk/forum

as you will see on the homepage, sending a friend request to 'HabboFM' may or may not allow you to gain info on the new way to apply to be a DJ.

in other news, DJ Sunshine, who left us a couple of months ago to focus more on her studies has decided to return to DJing with us, and will also be taking up her old position as Assistant Manager, meaning that both me and her will be sharing the roles and duties that come with the job :)

a lot more is on the way, so keep you're eyes peeled for new updates!

the forum has recently been pruned, and the majority of posts got deleted in the process, which is probably why the stats are a bit messed up

you will find that the times are in gmt :l

also, the majority of the DJs have been fired, hence the reason why DJ apps are opening :P

it is not upto the management to provide broadcasting software, that is YOUR responsibility.

as for DJ apps, send a f/r to the account HabboFM :)

it should be down to the station to provide the software

DJ-Vimto
19-02-2007, 07:56 PM
why should we provide it when its readilly available to download from the internet?

for example:

winamp - www.winamp.com

SAM - www.spacialaudio.com

its not exactly hard to press a few buttons and download it in a couple of clicks is it?

one of the main requirements for prospective HabboFM DJs is experience therefore you need to have done some form of DJing prior to applying, therefore you should already have the broadcasting software :)

The SAM software automatically upgrades to V4 when you download V2 or V3

So some sites have working ones which dont

whatever you think of the layout, use the "Contact Us" form on the site to email your thoughts and comments on the new layout.

Current Layout - Downgrade from old.
Current Forum - Terrible.

I hope the new forum wont be a phpbb!

the majority of the site and staff panel have been coded from scratch FYI.

as i have said, if you have any comments or suggestions then use the contact us form on the site, its what its there for :)

EDIT: @ Invent - you really need to learn about how websites are made, and make sure your facts are right before making posts like that.

imageready was not used to 'code' the site, it was infact used to SLICE the layout.... theres a big big difference there

i have passed on most of the comments to mike, who has worked tirelessly since first making the site nearly 4 years ago now.

as i speak, more and more changes are being thought about, and some have been made.

one of which being a new layout for the staff panel, which is much more professional looking than previous versions, sadly only the DJs will be able to view and admire these changes.

there is going to be an admin meeting soon, so naturally i will be bringing up all these comments in our discussion :)
