I Need A Radio

But ! I have never had a radio befor , I need a dj thing so people can log in and dj
and also do i need mysql ? To Have radio ? Im new to radios so dont call me a newb

What you need is a DJ Panel, the majrotiy of them use MySQL to store DJ Names, Timetable, Shoutouts etc...

I think your a little confused, a DJ Panel and a Radio are a little different :)

DJ Panel

This is a script tht runs seperatley to your radio that allows your DJs to login to access numerous features. These include:

DJ Shoutout box - which is usually linked to the fansite homepage
Timetable - Book their DJ Times
Request + shoutout line - access listener's requests + shoutouts

...etc

Radio

The radio is accessed by a broadcasting panel, which is usually purchased access to from a reliable provider. This panel allows you to turn your radio on/off, boot the DJ off the air, change your broadcasting password

...etc

In no way are the two scripts joined, so you need to get both for a successful fansite.

As to your question, I do not know of any DJ Panel that doesnt use MySQL. But that shouldn't be a problem as basic hosting is so cheap that a mouse's budget would be enough.

IF your current host does not provide MySQL id deffinately recommend switching, but be careful who you choose.

Choose a host on their:

Reliability
PRofessionalism
Overall PResentation

If a guy gives you free hsoting on a dodgy reseller account, it will usually get flawed very quickly. So just save yourself that hassle :)
