This has been my "pet project" for around 3 years now, never intended it to go on for so long but as more hotels opened, so the list of remodels became longer....

A brief description: Habbo3D is is a project that aims to recreate all of the Habbohotel public rooms and hotel views in fully rendered 3D awsomeness.
Inspired by some images of the uk hotel view made in Bryce3D by an old hobba by the name of M!ck, i decided to take the idea a few steps further and include the large list of public rooms as well.

So, why am i taking on such a mammoth project?

Why not? :p

At the end of the day, the whole project for me hasnt been about making some cool, never seen before views of Habbohotel, thats a bonus end product that i get to share with others, for me, this is all about a learning curve, from first creating the Old Habbos R Us private room early in 2002 to the latest Flaming Fur room, i've been learning new techniques and modelling skills that have helped me towards my aim of becoming a full-time 3D artist. In a way, the site so far is almost like a progress report of the things i've picked up over the years, you can see the differences in overall modelling and rendering quality between the early pieces and the most recent and it's nice to see just how far i've come in the very little time i get to actually do this stuff, 3 years may sound a long time, but when you take just the time spent on 3D stuff alone, it only equals to around 6 months. :)

I hope to be updating the site soon with the current work in progress and i'm in the process of getting ideas together for version 4 of the website as the current version takes too much time to update.

So, there you have it, feel free to have a nose around, leave a note on the guestbook if you like, my test note in there is looking kinda lonely. :p

What is it exactly that you don't like? Only reason i ask is because you're the first person to ever say that, i'm intrigued. :)

Nice!
I Realy like that! Great flash ect.

The only thing

All graphic content and code on this site are the sole property of Jason Fitzgerald (with the exception of the Habbo Hotel® name) and are to be viewed only as a personal rendition of www.habbohotel.co.uk

I think habbo wouldnt be happy with that.

Well anyway!

@Luckyrare: The main disclaimer on the index page more or less covers the Sulake side of things, the T&C is in a lot of respects a way of covering myself from people who prefer to steal peoples artwork and pass it off as their own work, occasionally for some kind of gain and this is where my own disclaimer comes in. My images, as with any habbo fan related artwork is in breach of copyright although Habbo ltd would be unlikely to take any action unless those images contained material considered offensive or was being sold in some way (I.E putting the habbo logo on a mug at cafepress and selling it to make money for yourself), I need to be certain that people know that i wont tolerate anyone using my images for such purposes and the T&C hopefully makes people aware of this. :)

At the risk of sounding a bit arrogant and not wanting to get into arguements over this or anything, the people who do alterations "edit" habbos original images, i use them as a rough guide to build a 3D model with, sure they look the same, but they're 2 very different types of medium, saying that i "just edit" images couldn't be further from the truth......
As i say, i'm totally aware that as all other alterations, even my artwork is in breach of copyright, however, i know that several Sulake staff have seen the site in the past and have had no issues with it and i'm sure if they did they would tell me so, if they're happy, i'm happy.

Anyway, lets not delve into this subject further, i'm glad you liked the images, after all thats what it's all about right? :D

Funny enough, i've been looking into the possibilities of making a basic "walkaround" section to the site using Director's Shockwave3D, i'd have to drastically reduce the polygon count of whichever room i try this with though, as it stands the standard cinema4d model files are around 60MB including textures...Not the most practical thing to load on a website. :p

Hopefully i'll be able to design the new site with this in mind to be added in the future, in the meantime i have a few other ideas i want to have a bash at first that i hope will be in keeping with the unique nature of the site. :)
