Train spotters take down the number on the train.

Considering you never mentioned that in your initial post - I'm gathering this is a spam thread.

Vodata2
21-02-2007, 04:53 PM
i dont have time to write down the numbers, theres 5 digit numbers on every carriage how would i have time??

F32
21-02-2007, 05:00 PM
The number varies; most times nowadays it's more than 5.

That's what train spotters do - they try to get down all the numbers.

This is typical train spotters - some people may do it differently but then there'd be no point.

Vodata2

My chair is a plastic one, it hurts my bottom, then again sitting in it for 4 hours solid is bad. Sometimes I walk around and teleport back to the chair.

Adam!
23-02-2007, 02:48 AM
I laughed, what fun is it watching a train pull into a station?

I mean, I won't deny that I've not stayed in an airport half hour more to watch a few planes land and listen to air traffic control, at least there is something half decent to watch, record and listen too.. But I could not sit at the airport all day watching planes take off and land, yet alone watching trains..

Yeahhhh, so meh.. When im at the airport waiting for a plane, i'll go into a viewing area, stick my scanner on and listen to control and watch some aircraft but mehhhhh!

I wouldn't call it "plane spotting" as such, just watching a few aircraft - It's actually relaxing just sitting there with a coffee, scanner and watching some aircraft making hard landings..

Something I heared on the scanner the other day (Was sat in my bedroom on laptop, had scanner on) "Speedbird 1928 welcome to Manchester, may I suggest you use autobrakes next time as an A320 shouldn't take up 3/4 of the runway...... contact ground 121.85" - Which was funny tbh.
