I think all images should be cropped to the exact point of discussion (this does not include web design) because 1. it lags computers trying to load it 2. some desktops contain obscene programs etc. and it's advertising it soo..
Just a thought
You really shouldn't be running Windows XP on your Microwave.
well alot of people have said it, ad. On the thread about something I can't remember in the Habbo UK News and rumors they said 'pic takes 5 mins to load'
Because they have a 56k modem running on a 24 year old steam powered b/w screen?
All PC's nowadays have enough RAM and nearly all internet is broadband or is switching now - so I don't see the point in reverting back time to cater for the people who haven't upgraded yet.
Sorry but we should cater for the future and not the past.

Well, i have to agree with Myke, because, not only does it slow computers down, it stretches the page, which really tick's me off, and why should we have to see loads of other crap when the thread is just about something small that could easily be cut down to size in about a minute?
Also, just because your computer is the latest mode and goes at the speed of light, others don't, and we should cater for other needs as everyone has a right to view things on this forum. If that makes sense.

if it stretches the page they should just post a link
i'd never waste my time cropping an image.

If you're using FireFox - Right click -> Block images from "...". - Sorted.
If you're using IE - www.getfirefox.com
If you don't want to wait for an image to load - then don't.

Images are normally fine for me, if it streches the forum then they shouldn't do it, they should post a link or shrink it/crop it.
I don't think we should make them tiny, the problem was probably they had a massive picture saved in .bmp (which take ages to load). But yeah pretty much what I have already said, they shouldn't make the forum strech but no need to make the that small (there is no point having loads of whitespace on a pic though).

No hacks Craig.
Policy.
well they kept the arcade.
They've done nothing to that since 1902.
They don't install unnecessary hacks if they don't have to - arcade was another benefit of being VIP considering the benefits of being a Platinum member were catching up etc.

Cropping is just common sense. SO many threads in Scripting N & R have to be closed because the image in the first post has their chosen scripting program on view :(
It's annoying though, Habbox should cater for everyone's needs not for these people that can afford new computers. =/
