I did like CrazyHabbo.net till it got sold :( It had a great radio, nice template, great DJs, fantastic owner and brilliant content :(

Web comics, news, forums, games, etc are the main motivations of mine.

I like sites what are layed back and if theres a forum they dont have loads of rules and filters, don't have a clue why im on habboxforum then lol, hmmm they must have somthing diffrent about them, for a habbo site thats really easy as I could think of loads of features what hardly any habbo sites have, but say its a teen site then theres not really much you can offer apart from good downloads and maybe things like msn avatars and crap like that.

These habbo site suggestions for features hardly any other habbo sites have. Could you inform me of any, as id be interested in maybe creating a few.

There loads just think about it, they all have the same content, nothing new, hardly anything diffrent on them, you could go to habbox.com and then go to some other random habbo site and there would be all the same content and features.

Some crap from the top of my head (yes some sites do have them but if one site had them all then it would be very diffrent from other habbo sites)

Habbo user bars / site user bars
Habbo Sigs Makers
Search A Habbo
Habbo Home Search Feature
Customiseable (can't spell) Images
Auction Rooms
Chat Rooms
Even a calculator would be somthing diffrent

And yeah a few sites do have them features, but theres not many, min-i and skylight lobby are about the only sites what have them and thats mainly because there in a sort of battle with each other and always thinking of new feature and then the other site copy the features lol.

Ok the site im planning on updateing has quite a number of those features already, bar the ones useing the habbo home systems as the last time it was updated was so long ago those and many other parts didnt exist, neather did the new layout o.0

Any suggestions that no sites yet have though?

Hmmm, habbo maker, I have't seen it before but its like when you go and change your habbo, instead have it on a fansite, and once you have made the habbo press the submit then it gives you the compelted image (from one angel at first but maybe you could add more angels)+ codes for using.

and an other idea for an image thing this might be on a habbo fansite but I'm not sure, you type in a box somthing like hi and your habbo name, then submit then it shows the image of your habbo with a habbo speach thing with the text hello in it.

Using PHP & MySQL,

Maybe try and make a 'is it worth it' kinda thing.

From an AdminCP you can adjust the Rare Values and people can enter what they're going to trade and what for and it calculates the values and works out whether it's worth it or not.

Is it like this:

let say a:

Throne - 10 HCs
HC = 1 HC - WOW need to be clever to know that ;)
Dino = 5 Thrones - 50 HCs
Tub Master = 0.5 of a HC

and some one would put in the item there buying / selling and what the other person is offering:

Item/s 1 - Dino

Item/s 2 - 4 Throne, 7 HC, 3 Tub Master

Then your submit and then it says:

Item/s 1 is worth more then Item/s 2 by 1.5 HCs

Yeha, pretty much.

Then, by using the power of knowledge:

Item/s 1 is/is not worth Item/s 2.

I'm not great with PHP but it would't be to hard would it? you just make a php calulator and replace numbers with a rare name and change the value for the numbers to the value of rare, then on submit it would then add up the 2 lots of items and then take one away Item/s 1 from Item/s 2, then it would display the answer, some people may say well if Item/s 1 is less then Item/s then it would go into -s and we don't want that, but you would its a good thing because it would show how much your down by, so if it came up as -5.50 you would be down 5.5HCs, if it was 0.00 then it would be = and if it was somthing like 5.50 you would be up 5.5HCs, but people would have to make sure they put there offer in the Item/s 1 box and the other person in the Item/s 2 box thing.

BTW: me saying all that stuff does't mean I can do it lol, I suck with php.

The Admin Panel would be the hardest thing to do - sounds quite easy though.

Call it:

Trade Assister.

Well an ACP isnt essental really, the rair values can be updated from a secondry file which can be directly edited, and then used in the genraition of the RV page.

The calcuater wouldnt be to difficult, other than the need to proccess an unknown amount of data, aka a lot of differnt items and alot of differnt amounts of em.

The processesing would after that be simple enough, your looseing out value wize, trade is equal, your gaining, kinda thing. Although there would be a big dependancy of RV's for it to work.

Some websites get popular because of the SUPPORT it recieves. Sure you have to have a fancy layout and some decent content but you need people to be willing to help.

All great fansites started with at least 10 members of staff, whether it was DJs or news reporters but the site needs to be ACTIVE in order to succeed in popularity.

Most people start a fansite and then rarely update it for the first few weeks and they single-handedly try to do everything and they don't succeed. You need support as well as content.

I think, that for a site to get popular, it needs something unique. Something it does better than ANY of the other sites.

E.G. Habbox has it's HUGELY popular forum and rare values.
ClubHabbo has it's successful Radio.
HabboMeadow has it's up-to-date global news and a very active forum.

I just go on some sites because the look pretty.. LOL

In my opinion atm if someone is going to make a habbo forum like habbox forum and it has even better fetures and more fun i still don't think anyone will move ontp that forum even tho they will consider it because habbox forum is popular, thats the thing people mostly sign onto forums if they are populare they are not botherd to wait for more people to sign up... so it is difficuilt.

Most people today think bringing out a habbo fansite/radio now is so easy. It's more of a question whether you are in it for the success or the hard work and determination. If you're looking for the success then it is not going to happen in most cases. Whereas if you're in it to support habbo and to learn how to run a website then the REST will follow. Which comes to success.

Back to when i said most find it easy to open a fansite, it's simple. It is VERY common, some habbo will get inspiration from fansites like habboxforum, clubhabbo or habbomeadow, then they'll get their layout, hosting and a few staff etc. After that they'll open and make a big big fuss. Take that back for a sec then... what about content? Most sites will open and not think about content and all that. Attracting visitors in a big load like habbox does is very skillful. It's purely a business but non profitable. The majority of visitors will see the site and witness the fancy layout but it doesn't OFFER. For example the content. Badly done work. I know this because time and time i recieve submissions for Habbar tuner from sites that aren't even hopefuls. I take a first look and i think "no". It's so basic that i can distinguish the sites even from the names.

You have to require the basic ingredients to make a successful site. Then you build. I don't think there is a SET list but some are right in that area. It depends on what type of person you are, and your ambitions.

This is a short reply to the post above;

Thing is, creating a "website" couldn't be easier nowadays with people thinking they will get popular using Piczo or Freewebs - it's just not going to happen.

But, creating a fansite isn't hard at all. Hosting, Domain and your done practically although you need a template if you cannot make one yourself.

That is the point i was trying to get across. Even some users are getting proper hosting from their buddies who have bought a reseller.
The template subject is getting even more debatable. Most layouts now are bought from kids/teens who make money from it. It's reminds me of the black market.

That's what i was talking about when i said it's the reason most fansites aren't successful. Most sites that are, have learnt for themselves and done good out of it.
It's also a good benefit on your behalf. You're just being pure bone idle if you don't learn it yourself.

Thanks for that. I only have bad rep because i'm a very opinionated person. Lol at the person from crazyhabbo who bad repped me. It said "Don't ever do ANYTHING like that again to CrazyHabbo's staff.". If you can't take in my opinion then you shouldn't be on this forum. Not everyone is going to say things you exactly like. Guessing either munky or jack. Blatantly.

This thread may show some good perspective for sites that are looking to become popular/successful.
