Hey,
At work I basically fill the shelfs it does involve lifting and moving of heavy objects. Since I've been home my back like majorly hurts could I have done it in at work ? because I felt nothing until I got home...

Most likely.
Although this may sound a bit stupid, there is a right and wrong way of lifting stuff.
If you lift and carry things the wrong way it can lead to back injuries, so in such a job you need to be careful, but the workplace should have given you advice about this already.

I'd say take a couple of pain killers and see how you feel in the morning. If it's still sore maybe make an appointment with the doctor just to check yourself out. :)

If you get hert at work, or think you got hert you should go straight to your manager/boss/supervisor and tell them happened (even if it isn't sore ATM) and they will fill out the paperwork just incase you can't work and you have to go to the hospital.
if you do go to the hospital the first question the doctor will ask you if "did this happen at work?" and if you say yes, or the doctor finds out it is the result of a work place injury and the proper paperwork wasn't filled out before hand, the store could be fined.
