It's not a hard concept to get - there isn't any reason to do it, it's pointless. So they just do it pointlessly.

If you thought there was a reason you wouldn't have made this thead.

Well if it's to look cool they really do fail, because people rip it out of them that they've bought reputation.

Brandon bought 180 when the proceeds when to charity, and as he has over 5k rep, it doesn't make much difference. I don't think Neversoft bought any either.

Oh.. if it was to charity I might buy.. but yeah apart from that It wouldn't cross my mind.

Not sure how I have 3 and you have 21, you've registered a couple of months before me :P

I stick to the habbo side of HxF and you to the social side.. so yeah I think thats why ;)

:Hazel
02-03-2007, 03:04 PM
because it makes their internet ego look good. i would never consider buying green bars, wth is the point? i'd prefer to earn them. :) buying is cheating ;)

I can read perfectly well and I choose to believe that you're still Allan; seeing as at the top of your signature, it clearly states "allan" soz. Even if you are marc, you can ** off anyway.

Some people are perturbed by what the word 'reputation' actually means. I think it shouldn't be sold.

Mexel bought 1620, haha. ;)
J1MI bought 720.

Because people want to and it's a free place where they should be able to do so without getting criticism from people with nothing better to do.

If you don't think buying rep is a good idea, then don't do it - I'm sure there are people who think that some things you do in real life are pointless. But it doesn't mean that others should be somehow criticised for doing so.

didn't you used to be a vip?

2 Years ago ;). That was when I was into using cc for online stuff, now I havnt touched the cc and just think its stupid :)

Edit: Reputation shouldn't even be sold, it defeats the whole purpose. You earn your reputation by doing good things around the forums, now since people have bought it the reputation system is just a joke.
