if she says friends then friends. u cant like force her to go out with u. if you think she likes you tho, keep on talking to her, invite her places like movies or w.e and get to know her more then ask her how do you feel about me or w.e.

I'm a wee bit confused about one part. I think you said you told her you liked her and she said to be friends?

If so, I think you should leave it as that for now. If she has made it clear she simply wants to be friends then respect that, as if you push her then you'll blow your chances all together.

Just take it easy as friends for now... Maybe do stuff - go swimming, to the pictures, to themeparks... Whatever. Just try and spend more time with her and overtime maybe try and get a bit flirty with her and tell her again that you like her. If she likes you in return then obviously - go for it.

I understand this is your first time and you'll maybe be a bit aprehensive, but I honestly can't recommend anything other than going for it. You have nothing to lose, so why not?

Like I say - play it cool as friends for a bit then take it from there...

If you've made your feelings clear to someone else, and they themselfs say "lets just be friends" i think that they dont share the same feelings for you, as you do for them. I think they'd rather have you as a friend than a x-boyfriend. Move on mate you'll get over it eventually, you might even become a closer friend because of this.
