( He staged his death) In the episode where he is revealed you see a dark face and whilomena says " hello alex mead" he corrects her " Its alexis mead Now !!! Hes a she ( transexual) there both plotting against daniel to take over the company!!

Fey's name was actually used as the backdrop for a plot to take over the company, thanks to a hospital patient swathed in facial bandages who was actually Daniel's post-operative transsexual brotherAlex/Alexis Meade. Alexis was first seen in The Pilot Episode, though she was only known as "The Masked Woman" until the episode "In or Out." Alex staged his death in order to undergo surgery to change his gender and become Alexis, then frame their father, Bradford Meade, as the person who murdered Fey. In "Brothers", however, Claire Meade, the family matriarch, confessed to Betty that she was Fey's actual murderer. Because Claire was drunk when she made the admission just as many doubts about the identity of Fey's murderer remain.

basically there doing some award thing and alexis went on a date with daniel and then told him, etc.. and he was just like ewww omg. and how? and alex/alexis always wanted to be a girl since he was 5 and , Then its the award thingy && alexis comes on stage and mr meade is like your not aloud up here.
and then he tells everyone how he lost a son but gained a daughter and sumin happens cant remem and then mr.meade gets accused of kiling fey summers.
