View Full Version : Sky Vs. Virgin Media
What setup box you using atm?
Me: Virgin Media....
Me On Sunday: Sky..
My mom is switching to sky to watch lost lmao! She needs her skyone xP
Plus, I think That Sky... Is Better Than Virgin Media..
1.Deals
a.£26 a month...
b.Sky Talk (Freetime [Free weekend and evening calls])
c.Sky broadband... Does has download limits up to 40gb though... with 8mb speed...
d.Sky tv! Get all the sky channels apart from the ones you need to pay for..
As on the hand basically virgin media has less channels, no download limits & on the phone package is basically freetime but all that is £62 a month! What you think?

We're not paying that much for our virgin media.. It's only around £35 a month for what we've got. Broadband, Phone and Television.
Next month I'm getting this package from Virgin Media that has 10mb download speeds so I don't really care, it's pretty good price aswell

Sky have made the wrong decision by removing Sky One from Virgin, because they'll get less viewers.

Virgin removed Sky. Sky made multiple offers for Virgin but they refused time and again. And Sky ftw.

Or they will be beating the competition, cus more people will want to switch to Sky to see their programmes, and so Virgin Media are left out...

Got sky at the moment but when we move in a couple of months, we would get virgin
Virgin definatly you all say oh skys got lost well sometime this year [supposed to be in spring] virgin is getting all 3 series' of lost to watch anytime you want and it already has 500 films and its way cheaper.
Sky became selfish and wanted too much for the channels and virgin would have had to of made their service more expensive so they scrapped sky.

Sky TV I found more professional and easy to use (simpler). They explained their ideas easier and NTL/Virgin sounds great, but tbh, it's got less channels on the TV and missing sky one/two.

An extra 3p a day is hardly breaking the bank. Or does Richard think his customers are that cheap?

BSkyB said the deal would cost only 3p per customer per day (roughly £35,000,000 per year), but Virgin said that a minimum payment guarantee included in the contract meant that the actual amount due would be more than double the current payment.
Before I get found out, I c+p that from somewhere, but it answers the question. I knew there was more to it than the 3p a day, but I couldn't put it in my own words.

You watch that?! Lol. :P
I used to watch it AGES ago. Back when there was the Naysmith guy and people like Jaws Wright or something. :P
Then nearly the whole cast got killed off... Bus blew up or something. :blue_doub

No, still got Sky movies, all I lost was Sky one, Sky two and maybe a few others, watch Sky movies every night xD Virgin Media may of dropped Sky one but tbh I can live without it, I only ever watch Documentaries, Movies and ABC1 now anyway, Sky is too expensive, the broadband they offer is terrible and you need a BT line to even use it so I'm deffinatly sticking with Virgin, oh no poor me I lose Sky one so what xD

SKY HD
We have sky HD in every room in my house. Every room can watch different channel. (Edit aport from my room i only have sky + due to no HD TV)
We also have every package (Sports, Movie, Adult etc)
And we get 20 FREEEE Sky box movies amonth.
Total cost £50 p/m
Anyway it depends what you watch on TV. Like some people who are with Virgin might want to change but they can't have time off work to get Sky insalled. Any way i wouldnt care who i was with. Its not like you watch TV 24 / 7.
