i think they are like clue scrolls because they appear AS WELL as a normal drop. clue scrolls aren't affected by ring of wealth so logic would say defenders aren't either

meh on the sites it says they do, i used wealth and i got them quick enough, nothing to lose buying and selling one

Just wear it why not?you neva know if you get it faster So i think u cud better wear it, also keep ur eyes open, i didnt see my defender i only saw the bones but i alwas clicked on the bones and get a defender :)
